2nd october, 1953   andromeda aquila black is born to cygnus and druella black. the second daughter of the most noble and ancient house of black, another dissapointment.1955   the youngest daughter of the house of black, narcissa, is born.1955-1964   thus begins a tumultuous childhood for the three sisters. one in which andromeda defies and rebels, but ultimately and painstakingly learns that the black name is a duty to uphold. one in which she learns that love is conditional, and more than that it's a competition one rarely ever wins.12th may, 1961   andromeda intervenes on behalf of her elf, tilly, during a disciplinary session in which the elf was punished for one of andromeda's mistakes. she carries a series of cursed scars on her shoulder from the punishment.

1st september, 1964   andromeda's first year at hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. like every black before her, she is sorted into slytherin.1969   andromeda becomes a slytherin prefect.septermber, 1969   andromeda is paired with hufflepuff edward tonks in potions. he's the clumsiest person andromeda has ever had the displeasure of meeting, and she's also fairly certain he's a mudblood.january, 1970   her usual slytherin partner for prefect rounds catches the black cat flu, and andromeda is paired up with edward tonks as a replacement for the rest of the year. despite her best efforts, andromeda struggles to ignore him-- the boy has a knack for goading her into arguments. eventually, it settles into normal conversation.march, 1970   ted asks andromeda on a hogsmeade date in front of her group of pureblood friends. she snorts, calls him a mudblood, and derisively asks him who he stole his magic from. he doesn't speak to her for an entire month afterward, and it's during this time that andromeda seriously begins to question the pureblood ideology she's grown up with.this is also the beginning of the rise of the dark lord, an event the blacks are extremely intertwined with.october, 1970 to december, 1971   andromeda and ted officially begin dating in secret. the secrecy is a major point of contention in their relationship, with ted believing she's ashamed of him and andromeda fearful of her family and their likely reaction to the news.december 27th, 1971   cygnus and druella black find out about andromeda's relationship with muggleborn ted tonks. she is given an ultimatum: give up her childish flirtation and agree to a marriage proposal between the lestranges, or be disowned. andromeda, of course, refuses, and endures several rounds of the cruciatus and threats of obliviation and murder should she not comply.december 28th, 1971   andromeda spends the rest of the winter hols, along with future holidays and summer vacations at the tonks' family residence. it's a humble, middle-class home, far more threadbare than anywhere she's ever stayed before, but there's also (perhaps for the first time in andy's life) a real sense of warmth. there's a mother who teaches her to cook and a father that always seems to know the right thing to say. there's a sort of imperfection to it all that feels lived in-- this far cry from the perfectly primed black home, where even the people had their place-- and andromeda calls it home.january, 1972 to june,1972  andromeda spends a lot of time avoiding the slytherin dungeon. she very rarely sleeps in her own dorm, preferring the comfort of the hufflepuff common room and dormitories.
